How to Find Your Perfect Perfumes & Fragrances

Find your Perfect Scent

With hundreds of new options available, choosing a fragrance can be overwhelming. Your fashion and beauty preferences lead the way "Like clothing, jewelry, and makeup, scent can speak volumes about a wearer's personality.
The perfume you wear is a personal choice; it's not like the clothes you borrow from your best friend. The fragrance your best friend wears might not work with your particular body chemistry.

Fragrance is a very personal choice. People will remember you for it. They will compliment you on it. They will ask what you're wearing. You'll wear it on first dates or for your wedding. If you arm yourself with proper knowledge, then shopping for the right fragrance won't be such a daunting task.
Types of Fragrances

Fresh - Fragrances categorized as fresh often include "green" notes, like fresh-cut grass, the smell of spring in the air, light citruses and airy notes. If you have an outdoorsy personality, a fragrance with fresh notes might be best for you.

Floral - Probably the most popular of all fragrance categories, floral scents encompass a wide range of blooms, from a single rose petal to a medley of floral bouquets. Floral scents may include notes of jasmine, carnation, gardenia, orange blossom, rose, lily of the valley, tuberose ... you name it. Floral scents can be powdery or sweet, depending on their combinations. If you enjoy the scent of a particular flower, maybe you should try fragrances that include notes of that flower.

Oriental - Just like its name suggests, the Oriental fragrance group is comprised of notes that are rich, bold and overall exotic. Notes like amber and vanilla are oftentimes present in the oriental group. Oriental fragrances lean toward the "heavier" side and are more sensual fragrances, ideal for nighttime wear or romantic occasions.

Woods (or Chypre) - this fragrance group consists of your aromatic wood and moss notes -- sandalwood, cedarwood, oak. Patchouli is sometimes present, as is vetiver and pine. Many masculine fragrances fall into this category, given the richness of woody scents.

Ideas for safe fragrance application

Spray your perfume onto your wrists. Just don’t rub them together  Or, squirt your delicious smelling juice onto the skin under your clothes. (Avoid spraying it onto your actual clothes – fragrance can stain fabrics!) And spritzing your fragrance on your hair does leave a lovely lingering scent, but the alcohol can also dry out your strands so be wary when doing so.

10 Tips to Conserve Your Smartphone Battery

How to Improve Your Smartphone’s Battery life

Apple, BlackBerry, Samsung and other global brands have come up with smartphones equipped with powerful mobile operating systems such as Google’s Android, Nokia’s Symbian, Apple’s iOS, etc, that allows users to play games, listen to mp3s, snap pictures, have access to the Net and even stream videos.
Smartphone manufacturers constantly engaged in a mad dash to release their phones with new features, it is no wonder that the main concern for these tech companies and also the end users is the battery life. Smartphone’s today have their own operating systems, compiled with the ability to perform most functions our PCs can.
On average, most Smartphone batteries last between one and two days before being completely depleted, and in need of a recharge. Then there is the case that the battery life also depends on how you use your Smartphone; how often you connect to the internet and for how long, how many applications do you run at a given time, so on and so forth.

Here are 10 essential tips to conserve your smartphone’s battery life:-

1. Turn off Vibrations
Vibrations are great for notifying you about incoming calls or messages when you’re in the theater, meetings or other places where it’s necessary to keep the phone silent. In places where it doesn't matter, it will be better for you to use your ringtone as notification if you want to keep your Smartphone’s on longer.

2. Dim Your Screen
This one tip affects battery life drastically. It’s obvious that dimming your screen will reduce your Smartphone’s power consumption since we all have to activate the screen whenever we use our phones. If our screen is brightly lit up every couple of minutes when we check our emails and such, it eventually will zap battery juice. Auto-brightness setting enable the Smartphone to adjust the brightness to its optimal level for reading while conserving battery life.

3. Place a Short Time for Screen Timeouts
A screen timeout decides how long your screen will remain lit before it turns off. By shortening the screen timeout, you will save your battery when you most require it. Especially when replying to those instant messages that cannot be ignored.
Some of us do not have the habit of ‘locking’ the phone after we are done with it; we just let it go lights out by itself. Keeping the timeout duration short will ensure that the phone doesn’t waste power when you’re not using it

4. Switching Off When Inactive
Although it is true that turning on your phone consumes more power than unlocking your phone, switching it off for a couple of hours can save more battery than leaving it on sleep or inactive mode. If you know you’re not going to touch your phone for an extended period of time, such as when you’re attending a meeting or sleeping, you can actually cut down a significant amount of energy consumption if you simply switch it off.

5. Charge your battery the right way
The process where we charge the phone in short bursts of time repeatedly during the day. We recommend that this should be avoided (of course). Although it is quite true when we realize that our schedules often keep us away from proper time management, and in turn, proper charging management, so to speak. But ensure that you keep your battery running till the last 20% before charging (20% because you could be away from a potential charging point and you might need that little charge to place an important call or survive the night). But did you know that even this form of charging depends on the type of battery? Allow us to make clear.
There are two kinds of rechargeable batteries commonly used for Smartphone’s: Lithium-ion (Li-on), and Nickel-based batteries. The Nickel-based ones are available in two types: Nickel-metal Hydride (NiMH) and Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd).
The Nickel-based batteries should be charged to their full power before utilizing them. This should be done when they’re more or less out of power (20% of course!)
The Lithium-ion batteries have the longest life cycle among the three types of batteries mentioned but they need to be charged more frequently (even when the battery is not fully used up) to maintain its original capacity. So ensure you know the battery type of your smartphone to follow, well, ‘healthy’ battery life practices!

6.Close Unnecessary Apps
Some of us open app after app and don’t bother to close them even after we no longer need to use them. This multi-tasking capability is a common feature of smartphones, but it is also a main reason why battery life gets drained away easily. The worst thing is that you’re losing battery juice when you are not even using them.

7.Disable GPS
Certain apps eat up more battery juice than others, particularly apps which utilize the GPS system to track your location. Your Smartphone has a GPS unit that allows the sending and receiving of signals to and from satellites to determine your exact location, which is integral for some apps to work, for example, map-based apps like Google Maps or to check-in on Facebook.
When left running in the background, some of these apps may continue to send and receive signals. It takes a lot out of your battery to continuously do that, even if you aren’t aware of it. Hence, you should ensure that those particular apps are closed when you really don’t need them.

8.Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G when not in use
When you are not using these connectivity services, the Smartphone continues to search for signals. This is the reason why your Smartphone immediately connects to a known connection immediately upon entering its range. But repeated searches can easily diminish your battery level quite a lot. Which is why, keep your connectivity off when you are not in range.

9.Minimize Notifications.
With constant connectivity to the Internet, we tend to get notifications on our Smartphone’s all the time, be it updates on the latest news, emails, high scores from games, add-ons for apps etc. But I’m sure that you would only want to be notified on the more essential stuffs like new text messages, or messages from Whatsapp. Manage your settings well and disable unnecessary notifications to save a little battery power.

10.Maintain Cool Temperature
Some of us might have observed that our battery runs out faster when our smartphones are warm. Put simply, don’t leave your Smartphone’s under direct sunlight or in any place that is hot.
So with these simple steps, we hope we have assisted you in keeping your charge a little while longer. To get your hands on Smartphone’s with the best prices in the UAE, the visit our mobile section by clicking here.

Why Make up is Important?

Make Up & Cosmetics

Beauty is not about having a pretty face; it’s about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and a pretty soul, oh, and pretty muscles. Then why make up is important??

Study on cosmetics and its influence show that people who wore makeup were thought of as more confident and much healthier. Women who wore Makeup were also awarded by the participants of the study with more prestigious jobs and a greater earning potential than the same women seen without cosmetics. If it is worn regularly, people may trust and like you more, it's still not a substitute for the real deal.

Beauty is simply a question of appreciating yourself, highlighting and enhancing your natural appearance to project your own self-image, letting it shine through, and then finding out what happens next.

In Spanish there exists a handy word, arreglarse. It means to make yourself look good – to do your hair and nails, to put on makeup, to pamper yourself with nice clothes and shoes. Your weight, your age, your complexion does not matter. What matters is that however you are. Hair, nails, and makeup are the Three Pillars of Beauty. In case of men, it is their ability to groom themselves!

While the eyes might be the window to the soul, they can also capture the attention of people around you. Studies have shown that people often focus on the eyes first before noticing other physical traits. That’s why it’s so important to have your eye makeup perfectly applied. As one of the most important part of the face, eye makeup is something quite difficult.
Eye makeup can define how natural or dramatic your look is. Whether you want to learn a process you can use every day or look stunning for a special occasion, proper application of eye makeup is a useful skill that can both impress your peers and help you look and feel your best.
Now that is merely one of the obstacles that women have to overcome to establish proper makeup on their faces. The lips demand their own attention; the cheeks warrant a separate session and this extends towards the rest of the face for finishing touches.
This is why we here at The Dubai Bazaar pay close attention to our makeup offerings and passionately scourge the world for amazing cosmetic products. We know makeup is important and even more essentially, it is super fun!
